Emily Beaversen - Pittsburgh Personal Organizer
Read Time: 2 minutes
When Emily came to me curious about brand photography for her business, she had a very specific niche and visual idea in mind. She works with neurodivergent women (mostly single) and absolutely didn’t want the stereotypical all-white studio, minimalist look of most home organization photoshoots. I was a bit nervous because this is different than what I typically hear from clients, but I was up for the challenge!
We first focused on location and Emily suggested her home because it showcased her personal style and, most importantly, was comfortable. Next, we included her past clients to show the process and personality that creates her organizing business.
Making sure we included several different scenes/scenarios, outfits, and locations for her shoot meant that I would deliver a large gallery of images to revamp her website and marketing materials. Click through to her website below to see the images in action!

At first, there was some hesitance about shooting in Emily’s office/den because of the outdated wallpaper, but we leaned into the idea that not every home will be Pinterest-worthy and sometimes it is a work in progress.
We continued into another area of Emily’s home, where we captured some interaction with a client and also the toy/kid section. It was important to showcase areas of the home that looked lived-in but neat.
Emily’s green couch was so luxurious, yet comfortable. It fit into the semi-maximalist vibe she wanted for her shoot.
Lastly, we ventured into the city to capture another client interaction, focusing on an on-site visit and the maintenance aspect of her client process.
