Sarah - Pittsburgh DIY Blogger

”I never take a good photo!!” Girllllll…if I had a nickel for every time I heard that one. 😂

I met Sarah through a mutual friend/client and then when she messaged me looking for a refresh of her headshot but with hesitance, I knew I was the right photographer for the job. Because here’s the thing. Most of my clients do not like getting their photos taken and do NOT typically like the results. BUT I remind them that they haven’t worked with the right photographer: someone who has the creative eye, but will lead them through direction/poses, great lighting, and fun conversation to help calm the nerves. That relationship is so vital to a great photo!!

Featured Client: Sarah | PGH DIY

Industry: Pittsburgh DIY Blogger + Social Media Influencer

Location: Private Residence, Pittsburgh

Photoshoot Date: October 4, 2024

Sarah really wanted to show off the custom kitchen she built with her husband, Vince. They highlight their DIY process and instruct their audience on their blog and social media platforms. It’s phenomenal to see the hard work they put into renovating their home themselves! The “German Schmear” technique is shown on their kitchen backsplash as well as their coffee bar.

A quick outfit change and we continued into another area of Sarah’s home, her newly renovated office! Featuring her DIY desk and barn doors, this room transformed beautifully from a playroom to an office.

We captured these images in a mini session, which I don’t typically offer for brand images, but I wanted to help Sarah gain that camera confidence I knew she had in her!! I’d say we succeeded. 😉
